Addiction: Master of Deception

Do you really know me? Let's see if you do.

When I met you, you were innocent.

You wanted fun, I gave you an illusion that felt like fun and a piece of your spirit went numb.

You wanted acceptance, I introduced you to my victims, they accepted you, you called them friends and a piece of your spirit went numb.

You wanted self worth, I gave you degradation and a piece of your spirit went numb.

You were proud of yourself, I gave you shame and a piece of your spirit went numb.

You made honest mistakes, I gave you guilt and a piece of your spirit went numb. You wanted success, I gave you failure and a piece of your spirit went numb.

You were lively and aware of life, I took your vigilance and a piece of your spirit went numb.

You had real support, I isolated you and you became mine and what was left of your spirit went numb.

Now if you stay with me I will convince you that the truth is a lie, that those who love you are interfering, that normal is abnormal and abnormal is normal, then you will hate yourself enough for me to love you to death.
